The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in an LA Car Crash

The visionary game developer, who helped create the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The influential game designer lost his life when his automobile collided and burst into flames on a highway in LA on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This represents a devastating loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his family, and everyone impacted by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
