Large Hailstones and Extensive Destruction
Homeowners witnessed substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of 7cm in some areas. Weather authorities verified that multiple regions across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

Victorian Weather Woes
Simultaneously, nearly 1,000 energy customers in the southern state also faced power outages after the capital city recorded its wettest day in 18 months.
Emergency response teams responded to over five hundred emergency reports across the state, mostly for property damage but also for downed trees and water accumulation.

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along much of the state's eastern regions this week as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
The following day was forecast to be the wettest day, with ongoing storm activity expected across different parts of both states.
